You will learn and practice CPR for adults, children and infants on individual manikins using a face mask or shield for airway management. You will learn and practice with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). You will learn how to relieve choking due to a foreign-body obstruction.
The First-Aid portion will cover basic first-aid to include:
How to treat bleeding
How to treat sprains
How to treat broken bones
How to treat shock and other first aid emergencies
The course is taught in a non-stressful setting to help students learn the skills and feel confident in an emergency situation.

For the hybrid format students complete the learning modules, sims online then attend an instructor led session for the hands on components.

Pediatric CPE\AED with First-Aid
This course includes the material covered in the HeartSaver course with the addition of First Aid in a pediatric setting. It meets the requirements for day care workers, school teachers, and assistants.
The current AHA Pediatric HeartSaver First Aid with CPR and AED book is required for this class which includes a CD so the student can review and maintain their skills.
All formats are taught by an American heart Association (AHA) certified instructor and follow the AHA guidelines for the course content and structure.
